Dr. Byrne is an attending neonatologist at IU Health North Hospital and at Riley Children's Hospital. She is a clinical neonatologist, and at IU Health North she is involved in continuing to develop the community neonatal care program within the IU Section of Neonatology. Dr. Byrne is also a regional instructor in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, as well as co-director of the NRP Program at Riley. Dr. Byrne has an interest in medical ethics, and is a member of the Ethics Committee at both IU Health North and at Riley Children's Hospital. Her interests include feeding issues in preterm and late preterm infants and improving communication between physicians and families in the NICU.
