Faculty

The section of Neonatology includes approximately 30 faculty members, all full-time members of the Department of Pediatrics of Indiana University. Though each faculty has general neonatology skills, personal interests and academic pursuits include clinical areas such as persistent pulmonary hypertension of the neonate, fetal and neonatal nutrition, extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation, and neonatal resuscitation. Other areas of scientific investigation include hematopoesis, energy expenditure and metabolism, in utero glucose metabolism and stem cell development and proliferation. There is a close working relationship among the faculty with Pediatric General Surgery, Cardiology, Pulmonology, and Developmental Pediatrics, in addition to all the pediatric subspecialties and general pediatrics at Riley Hospital and in the surrounding communities.
